This morning’s NP has a column written by Bob Rae (could not find it on line). Rae is unhappy about the recent cuts implemented by the federal government, and laments that these cuts are being made on “ideological” grounds –cuz everyone know that liberals don’t make ideologically based decisions.

In the subtext of his piece, you can almost hear Rae saying that the federal surplus should be spent, and since it is to be spent, he’d love to be the one spending it because he knows precisely what to spend it on.

InĀ  light of the magic that Rae performed on the Ontario economy while he was premier, his mere suggestion that he would do better with any public purse shows that the man is either an amnesiac or a shameless man.
